The Science of Happiness: Free, Self-Paced Course
A key part of a healthy life is achieving happiness and attaining a sense of fulfillment. We invite all of our patients to enroll in a free eight-week course, "The Science of Happiness", which explores the roots of a happy and meaningful life through science and practice. The course focuses on the understanding and application of seven core themes: gratitude, altruism, compassion, empathy, forgiveness, happiness, and mindfulness.
Taught by UC Berkeley's Dacher Keltner and Emiliana Simon-Thomas, The Science of Happiness zeroes in on a fundamental finding from positive psychology: that happiness is inextricably linked to having strong social ties and contributing to something bigger than yourself--the greater good.
