Dr. Huang is originally from Los Angeles where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of California Irvine and his Doctorate of Optometry degree from Western University of Health Sciences. At Western University of Health Sciences, Dr Huang was president of the school’s Lions Club chapter and a member of the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society. He is therapeutically certified to diagnose and treat ocular diseases. In addition to providing comprehensive eye examinations and managing ocular disease, Dr. Huang's other areas of interest include myopia control and specialty contact lenses. Before joining the Eye Care Hawaii team, Dr. Huang previously worked abroad in Taiwan, where he contributed to the research and advancement of education in fitting specialty contact lenses for local clinical and hospital settings. In his spare time, Dr. Huang enjoys watching sports and playing basketball.
